Owl JSONFix MCP
Repair common malformed JSON in model output through a deterministic local MCP server.
Overview
Owl JSONFix MCP repairs several kinds of malformed text returned by language models. Its documented cases include code fences, trailing commas, smart quotes, unquoted keys and prose around an object. It runs the same repair logic on repeated inputs and needs no network connection for repair. This makes it useful as a parsing step before a program decides whether it needs another model request.
Getting started
Follow the repository’s Node.js setup and configure the server entry point in a local MCP client. The project includes examples and tests for its supported repair cases.
Things to know
A syntactically valid repair still needs schema and business-rule checks. The tool repairs the input text. It cannot establish whether the values inside it are true.
