AI Charalab
CharaLab focuses on creating original character images and videos from text or reference photos. Its broader media toolkit includes image generation and editing, text-to-video, and image-to-video workflows. This is an application for accessing creative tools; model names in its navigation do not establish that CharaLab developed those models.
Build a character, then choose the medium
The publisher describes a character generator with more than 20 artistic styles, aimed at storytelling, games, and avatars. Start with a description or reference photo and use the output as a character concept. Check facial details and costume choices across separate results before assuming a character will remain consistent through an entire project.
For moving images, CharaLab advertises text prompts, reference images, and video effects. Its homepage also lists media-editing functions such as background and object removal, image expansion, enhancement, and old-photo restoration. Choose the function that addresses your source material instead of treating the full menu as evidence that each task has identical limits or quality.
CharaLab includes styles associated with well-known fictional characters and studios. Their appearance in a menu does not give you permission to use someone else's protected characters, likenesses, or branding. Keep rights to the input and intended output separate from the application's generation features.
Understand the credit purchase
The free tier allows image and video creation, while paid access provides more credits and advanced features. The pricing page displays a US$19.99 pay-as-you-go offer with no automatic renewal. It does not state the credit quantity in that offer's public text, so confirm the allocation and generation cost before buying.
One-time credits last one year; subscription credits last one month. The FAQ says additional purchases stack, and users continue receiving free daily credits after buying a package. Those expiry windows matter if you expect to save a balance for occasional projects.
VIP benefits include 4K resolution and commercial-use support. Check the current plan conditions and licensing language for the particular output you need. The pricing FAQ says refunds are not supported, with customers directed to contact support if they have a problem.
Download work you want to keep
The publisher says results remain in My Creations for three days. It also says uploaded content and generated results are deleted within three days, alongside claims about encryption and not using uploads for training. These are the service's stated policies, not an independent security assessment.
Download finished work before that history window ends, and retain your prompts and permitted reference files outside the service. For private photos or client material, review the current privacy terms before uploading rather than relying on the short retention period alone.
