Speech-to-text.cloud combines transcription with editable text and subtitle exports
Speech-to-text.cloud is a browser-based transcription service for uploaded audio and video. Its interface combines transcription with tools for working on the resulting text, including summaries, translation, speaker identification, cleanup and key-point extraction. The publisher positions it for meeting recordings, lectures and professional documentation.
Upload, select a language and export
The service's official page describes an upload workflow with automatic language detection or a manual language choice. It advertises support for more than 100 languages and files up to 1 GB, including formats such as MP3, WAV, MP4 and WhatsApp voice messages.
After transcription, users can copy the text or export it as TXT, PDF, Word, HTML, SRT or VTT. The subtitle formats are useful when the recording will accompany a video; document formats fit a different destination, such as notes or a written record. The interface also exposes timestamps and text-refinement options.
Language coverage is worth evaluating separately from export convenience. Sarvam's Saaras V4 focuses on all 22 scheduled Indian languages alongside English, while speech-to-text.cloud advertises a broader multilingual selection. That is a coverage distinction, not evidence that either service transcribes a particular recording more accurately.
Speaker labels and professional-formatting claims
The publisher says the service separates speakers and adds punctuation, paragraphs and logical breaks. It also makes accuracy claims for clear audio and technical terminology. Those claims do not establish how it will handle a particular speaker, recording quality or specialized vocabulary. A short sample is a practical way to inspect the output before committing a larger recording.
The site promotes medical, legal and corporate uses, but automated formatting should not be treated as a guarantee that a transcript meets a particular organization's requirements. Its summaries and cleanup tools are additional processing steps, so retaining the original transcript makes changes easier to examine.
Trial allowance, plans and file handling
The upload interface says two to nine minutes are free without an account, while the FAQ describes an allowance of up to nine minutes. Check the allowance shown for your session rather than assuming the maximum applies universally.
The displayed yearly Basic plan lists $4.99 per month and 900 minutes per month; Business lists $29 per month and 8,400 minutes. Business also advertises bulk uploads and API integrations. The operator says processing uses German servers and uploaded files are deleted after seven days. Its security and compliance statements are publisher claims, not an independent assessment of suitability for sensitive recordings.
