Anara
Anara is a research assistant for finding papers, asking questions across a document library, and writing with citations. The publisher describes answers that point to the exact passage behind them, giving researchers a way to inspect supporting evidence instead of accepting an uncited explanation.
Build a library you can question
You can upload files or search papers through sources including PubMed, arXiv, and JSTOR. Anara offers questions about a single file, a folder, or an entire library, and advertises conversations across up to 10,000 files. That is the platform's stated scale, not a promise that every account can upload that many unrestricted documents.
Use a focused question to compare findings or locate a particular result, then open the cited passage. Check the surrounding methods and limitations before treating an extracted finding as a general conclusion. A study's population, setting, or measurement may differ from the question you are trying to answer.
Anara also describes remembering uploaded files so you can ask about them later. Give documents recognizable names and maintain a library whose contents you understand. Keeping an important reference in the system does not remove the need to verify which version supports a claim.
Keep citations connected to the sentence
The writing workflow matches a draft to your library and the web to suggest citations. Clarami addresses the same source-to-sentence problem with library-linked drafting and passage-level claim checks. The useful comparison is how each workspace lets you inspect support for a specific statement, rather than whether it can produce academic-looking prose.
For either workflow, read the cited passage and confirm it supports the wording you intend to publish. A correctly formatted citation can still point to a source that discusses a different outcome or offers weaker evidence than the sentence implies. Follow your institution's citation and AI-use requirements.
Anara publishes its own multi-document benchmark comparison and promotes higher accuracy than general-purpose AI. Treat the percentages as vendor-reported results under the described test conditions, not a guarantee of correctness for your literature review or clinical decision.
Check upload limits and data requirements
The pricing page lists a free plan with limited AI usage and uploads, no credit card required, and a limit of 20 MB or 120 pages per upload. It includes Zotero and Mendeley connectors. The public pricing overview does not establish all paid-plan allowances.
Anara advertises security certifications and compliance claims on its homepage. If your files contain regulated or confidential data, obtain the applicable current documentation and contractual terms before uploading them. Research assistance does not replace professional judgment, and cited answers still require review against the original documents.
