Its official overview describes white-background photos and transparent cutouts for visual projects. The site offers a transparent PNG background option. Product listings and presentation graphics are examples of where a cutout can be useful; the published page does not establish a fixed processing time for every image.
Choose a source photo with a foreground you want to keep. Background removal changes the surrounding image, so keep the original file if you may need to restore details or compare another edit. For a product shot, decide whether the final destination needs transparency or a solid background before exporting.
Inspect the cutout before reuse
Review the result at its intended display size. Fine hair, reflections and areas where the subject blends into the background deserve attention. The homepage lists Magic Brush, but this overview does not claim to have tested its correction quality.
A transparent PNG is useful when another editor will place the subject into a composition. A white-background image may be easier to deliver when transparency is unnecessary. Check the announced API transition
The API documentation announces that background removal will move to Leonardo.Ai starting December 1, 2026. That is a future transition in this October documentation snapshot, not evidence that the current remove.bg website has already closed or that an existing integration has been migrated.
For a new integration, inspect the publisher's current migration instructions and account requirements before committing a workflow.
