Listens to foreign-language videos in the browser and shows live translated subtitles, helping viewers learn from overseas content.

What it does

NewTranx Subtitler listens to foreign-language audio playing in Chrome and shows live translated subtitles. It is aimed at people watching overseas courses, product launches, shows and anime who do not want to wait for official subtitles in their language.

Key features

  • Recognizes speech in real time and turns it into bilingual subtitles
  • Covers recognition and translation for a large number of languages and dialects
  • Exports subtitles and audio for later use
  • Lets you edit subtitles online after they are generated

Use cases

  • Following a foreign-language tutorial or lecture
  • Watching a product launch event without native subtitles
  • Studying a language by reading both the original and translated lines

Getting started

Play a video or audio in Chrome and turn on NewTranx Subtitler to see live translated subtitles. Edit or export them afterward if needed.

Good to know

Audio is processed by NewTranx's recognition and translation service. Live subtitles can lag or contain errors, especially with background music or several speakers.
