What it does

Youdao's translation extension uses the company's own large language model to translate web pages side by side with the original text, along with selected words, images and YouTube subtitles. It is aimed at Chinese-speaking users who read foreign-language sites for study, work or news.

Getting started

After installing, open a foreign-language page and turn on side-by-side translation from the extension, or select text or right-click an image to translate it.

Good to know

The interface and store listing are in Chinese, so it is mainly suited to Chinese speakers. Page text and images are sent to Youdao's service for translation.
