PerfectParser: extract document fields into spreadsheets or JSON
PerfectParser extracts selected fields from PDFs, scans and images into structured data. Its documented workflow starts with a sample document and a description of the information you need, then reuses that parser across uploaded files.
The product is aimed at operations, accounting and logistics teams handling documents such as invoices, packing slips and bank statements. For an invoice, the useful output might include the vendor, invoice number and line items, rather than a prose summary of the page.
Define the fields before processing a batch
You describe the required fields in plain English. The interface detects fields from the sample and lets you save the parser with a name for later use. PerfectParser says this avoids template mapping and training-data preparation.
Start with a representative document and inspect the proposed field names and types. A total amount should be usable as a number; an invoice identifier may need to retain letters or leading zeros. The sample shown on the product page distinguishes string and number fields, so the structure deserves attention before uploading a larger batch.
Review results and choose the export
PerfectParser supports batch uploads and exports to Excel, CSV or JSON. The site also describes sending results through APIs and webhooks. A spreadsheet suits a human review step, while JSON can feed another application that expects named fields.
The publisher lists table extraction for line items and nested tables, including documents with changing layouts. Test your own layouts before depending on that description: invoices with credits, multiple currencies or a subtotal near the final total can require more precise field instructions. Compare the extracted values with the original pages and keep a route for correcting exceptions.
The homepage advertises a 99.5% extraction-accuracy figure, but does not provide a complete evaluation method in the captured text. Treat that number as the publisher's claim, not a measured result for your files. A parser that produces the right column names still needs to extract the right values.
Budget by pages and check document handling
The service uses page credits rather than a recurring subscription. The pricing section defines one page as one credit and gives purchased credits a twelve-month validity period. Estimate your volume in pages, including multi-page documents, and confirm the package terms before buying.
PerfectParser states that data is encrypted in transit and at rest and that it does not use uploaded information for AI training. For confidential contracts or financial records, check the current retention and deletion policy as well as your organization's permission to upload the documents. A useful trial should exercise the full process: define fields, inspect a batch, correct exceptions and open the export in the system that will use it.
